Chicago Heat

I had to travel to Chicago recently for work. It was a short trip — I spent less than 24 hours in the city itself — but it happened to occur on the hottest two days that the city has had in years. When I woke at 5 a.m., the city was already a sweltering 83 degrees. By the time I got in the cab to head to the airport, the temperature had reached 107.

I spent the morning walking along Michigan Avenue and headed toward the water, taking a few pictures. It was good to see a little beauty among all of the high rises, shopping centers and heat.
